Anthony Joshua is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight-round match which will be shown in real-time on Netflix.
Briton Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "break" the American as the combatants came face-to-face to build hype for next month's heavyweight fight.
Ex two time unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami's Kaseya Center on December 19th.
Boxer's Mentality
"I'm going to injure his face and break his body up. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35 years old, stated.
"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I'm going to seriously aim to injure him. That's my intention."
Civil Exchange
Despite these statements, a composed Joshua and internet personality Paul - typically recognized for his dramatics - were respectful and kept it respectful with each other.
Paul rather criticized ex Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "a joke" after Ngannou declined a fight offer.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Joshua, at the same time, criticized British opponent Tyson Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a Paul victory.
"[Paul] is superior to Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer said.
"I respect him for that."
Legitimate Opponent
In spite of saying he intends to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua declined to talk badly about his opponent's boxing ability.
"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he said.
Jake Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has primarily fought MMA fighters or declining opponents since becoming pro.
He lost to Briton Fury in last year.
Commercial Attraction
Nevertheless, the relative newcomer is still one of the sport's greatest money-making draws, consistently making massive paydays.
Prediction and Belief
The 28-year-old anticipated a KO victory in round four or five and claimed he would stop the highly-expected Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently being planned for two years from now.
"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul said.
Size Disparity
As both boxers participated in the traditional face-off, with their size difference clearly visible, it highlighted just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how remarkable it is that the match is truly proceeding.
